Laura Branigan, DMD is your go-to Ocean general dentist for tooth extractions. Dr. Branigan has been providing our community with quality oral health care for decades, and in our mission to provide you and your family with the very best care, we make sure that all of our patients receive the friendly and individualized care they deserve. Tooth extraction can be a stressful procedure but you will find that our office is both warm and welcoming. We have taken great care to create an environment that is stress free so that all of your visits are as painless and anxiety free as possible.
Part of our goal is to make sure that our patients have strong and healthy teeth. This means that in our treatment our Ocean general dentist will try to do everything we can to avoid removal of the natural teeth. However, sometimes it is unavoidable and we are required to perform either a simple or complex tooth extraction. When a tooth is severely damaged or decayed (abscessed) it may need to be removed. The procedure may be done with either a local or, if necessary, general anesthetic. Stitches are sometimes required, as are pain-killers during the recovery period. If gone untreated, these severely damaged teeth can run the risk of allowing the infection to spread throughout the mouth causing much greater health risks.
If you are experiencing any tooth pain it is important that you make an appointment to see your local Ocean general dentist. Through a comprehensive oral examination we can determine the cause of the pain and the proper course of action. If, for some reason your tooth does need to be extracted we will go over, in detail, the procedure so that you feel well informed to make an educated decision. At Laura Branigan, DMD we want to make sure that you are comfortable and confident before proceeding with any form of treatment, and for your convenience our staff is here and willing to answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your oral health. When it comes to oral pain of any kind we urge you not to ignore it. When gone untreated damaged teeth and gums can turn into very serious health issues.
